Fender's Pawn Shop Special series Ramparte™ amp looks the part of the perfect pawnshop prize. With its tastefully textured two-tone chocolate-and-copper fabric covering, it's right at home in the den or living room next to the recliner and the console stereo. But fire up this diminutive 9-watt beauty and you'll be storming the ramparts of pure tube tone, with huge power and performance from the 12"" Special Design speaker and dual ""hot"" and ""cool"" channels.
Dig the smartly elegant Johnson-administration look (Lyndon, not Andrew), with tastefully textured two-tone chocolate-and-copper fabric covering that lets Ramparte make itself right at home between the overstuffed recliner and the gigantic Westinghouse console stereo. And that regally Byzantine double-headed eagle logo badge is just too cool.
Nine watts, one 6L6 power tube, two channels, class ""A"" circuitry and a single 12"" Special Design speaker never sounded so good. Ramparte's ""cool"" channel is pleasingly voiced from warm and clean to moderately gritty. But that ""hot"" channel - man, with that kind of mild-to-wild overdrive, might be best to keep a twenty on you to slip the cops when they show up.
As if all of the above isn't enough, Ramparte imparts a wealth of other fine features including separate ¼"" input jacks and volume controls for both channels, ¼"" internal speaker disconnect for external enclosure use, ""chicken-head"" control knobs and a vintage-style leather strap handle.
