Fender's Vaporizer amp evokes the 1950s-'60s age of the Space Race, when the atom-age world became enthralled with spaceflight and spacecraft. When the wild flights of fancy it launched permeated culture everywhere from film and television to cars, guitars, appliances and more - everything was bright, colorful and flashy. Garage bands blasted off with guitar music, and legions of musicians who couldn't swing pro gear bashed away on department-store guitars and amps.
The Vaporizer amp blasts you like a ray gun back to that exciting era. Affordable and out of this world, it would've been right at home aboard a Mercury capsule and down in the backyard fallout shelter. It would've been stumbled on decades later in some pawn shop corner by an unconventional guitarist with an ear for the distinctive and an eye for the stylish. It's the Fender Vaporizer. Stand back!
AFFORDABLE AND OUT OF THIS WORLD
Fender's Vaporizer amp blasts you like a ray gun back to the 1950s-'60s golden age of the Space Race, when everything was colorful and flashy, when garage bands blasted off everywhere, and when amateur musicians who couldn't swing pro gear bashed away with electrifying abandon on department-store guitars and amps.
A blast from a past version of the future, this is easily the most way-out Fender amp look ever. Get a load of that angular ""bow tie"" grille with the silver-flash fabric. Rock Cold War-cool with that stark metallic gray control panel, those Mission Control black knobs with the metal inserts, and that icy blue amp jewel. And isn’t that dimpled vinyl covering in Rocket Red, Slate Blue and Surf Green just out of this world? Yes, it is.
You might wanna stand back. Vaporizer's dual 12AX7 preamp tubes and dual 6BQ5/EL84 output tubes send 13 watts of rocket fuel through two 10” Special Design speakers. The full, drenched sound of the spring reverb circuit makes it sound like a moody late night inside a secret spy-plane hangar, and the included single-button footswitch launches ""vaporizer mode,"" which bypasses the volume and tone controls for full-strength overload indicated by a separate red jewel light.
Oh, there's more. The internal speaker disconnect lets the amp's ¼"" output be used for external 8-ohm speaker enclosures. You also get two inputs (normal and bright), the coolest retro-style volume, tone and reverb control knobs a rocket scientist ever laid eyes on, trapezoidal wood cabinet construction and a stylish handle.
